Bobby Broom werd op tienjarige leeftijd gegrepen door de jazzorgelklank na het horen van Charles Earlands Black Talk!, een ervaring die zijn muzikale koers bepaalde. Hij groeide uit tot een toonaangevende jazzgitarist die speelde met grootheden als Sonny Rollins, Art Blakey en Charles Earland, en met zijn eigen organ-trio’s, waaronder de Bobby Broom Organi-Sation, verbindt hij bekende melodieën uit de pop en de Great American Songbook met de traditie van de jazz. Op 30 april 2026, een kleine twee weken na het Masterclass Festival Amsterdam, treedt hij in Chicago op tijdens het jaarlijks gerenommeerde International Jazz Day All-Star Global Concert, waarvoor hij door Herbie Hancock is geselecteerd.

Bobby Broom
Bobby Broom was captivated by the sound of the jazz organ at the age of ten when he first heard Charles Earland’s Black Talk!, an experience that shaped the course of his musical journey. He went on to become a leading jazz guitarist, performing with greats such as Sonny Rollins, Art Blakey, and Charles Earland, and with his own organ trios, including the Bobby Broom Organi-Sation, he blends well-known pop melodies and the Great American Songbook with the jazz tradition. On April 30, 2026, just under two weeks after the Masterclass Festival Amsterdam, he will perform in Chicago at the prestigious annual International Jazz Day All-Star Global Concert, having been selected for the event by Herbie Hancock.
